cameras in every room in the house recording everything that goes on
that way if any abuse happens it will be on tape for the cops to use as evidence also it would put many people off attacking kids because they know about the cameras

Desperately need a good home security system(electronic; alarms,cameras etc.). Never came across any ad for such items.Is somebody have & used? Please advice.

I want one that can be viewed via the internet and records all the time
I want around three cameras that can be viewed simultaneously

Looking for a source for do-it-yourself security system, mostly consisting of a couple of cameras, video monitor for my kitchen, maybe a motion detector or two, and glass breakage detector. I’ve visited supercircuits.com, which is awesome for the video systems, but nothing for motion detector or glass breakage. My husband and I are both electrical and techie-inclined, so I know we can hook everything up the way we want it, I just can’t seem to find one good source to buy it all to ensure it will all work together. Wanting to find some base package where you can then add this, that, the next thing. Any suggestions ?

I want to set up a home cctv system with about 3 cameras. How could I set it up so that the can be recorded on a standard vcr? I noticed the cameras on ebay have connectors that wouldn’t fit into the input jacks on a vcr(the camera and vcr both have female connectors). Also, how would I power the cameras?

Today my house got broken into, the came thru the front door, it was locked but they managed to break the lock, it was in broad daylight (3pm) and the burglar alarm went off. The got a lot of cash (for various reasons we had a lot of cash in the house), 4 cameras (I live with other flatmates) and tobacco and alcohol and some other things (but they left all the expensive computers & consoles). They also trashed the place, every drawer in the house was open. What can I do to minimise the chance of it happening again (we already fitted a better lock). Although I would like to spend lots of money on security, I just don’t have it, what can I do that’s cheap? (£1000 cctv is not an option). What made the burglar decide to pick my house? Why did my house look easy? I’ve read about “beware of the dog” signs, which i’ll definately be buying, but is there anything else I can do? I’ll also be buying a safe when i’ve raised enough money. Any tips or links please? I’m worried they’ll come back.
Forgot to mention, I can’t actually get a real live dog because I’m allergic. And yes I’m in England, still waiting for the police 14 hours after I called them. I’m also female and wondering what kind of self defense I can use in case it happens again.

I have an older security system. Exxis is the brand with telephone connectors and wire not coax. I get audio but no picture from any of the cameras, three set up. I’m guessing it’s a problem with the monitor and would like to know if it is worth repairing or just replacing. Any suggestions on how to find the problem myself? Three cameras with motion detectors run through recorder. Have contacted Exxis and the monitor is obsolete and they, of course, suggest replacing with one of their current models.

hi I would like to know how to set up a home cctv system. I have a micromark multi camera controller system. Modem number MM23190
Now, I have 2 cameras plugged in and I have a small tv, where I can watch the video coverage of what my cameras retrieve, however, what I would like to do, is to be able to record, nd playback anything that my cameras retrieve, for evidence purposes.

We are looking for a relatively inexpensive security camera for our house - not an “alarm system” just more of a camera to find out who has been at our house (someone has been at our house when we are not there; messing with landscaping, etc.). We don’t know much at all about cameras or what we need - probably something that could record while we were gone (it always happens when we are not there)… any advice would be great. Thanks!
I should add that the camera will be located on the front porch looking out at our driveway.
